Boss fight

With your sword, you will have to fight a big golem boss. The boss is a multiple stage fight, with spawning enemies and towers you have to deal with in a puzzle like way.

Diagetic learning

To prepare you for the fight each element of the boss fight is taught to you via a gauntlet beginning, to ensure you know what you are facing and how to respond to it.

Talents

You will be granted a few talent points that you can spend as you see fit on passive and/or active abilities to help you in the fight. You can always reset your talents and start right at the boss again if you want.

Challenge

The game is hard, and meant to be. Don't just mash buttons, think and act your way to victory. Play-testers have died on average 50 times before finally defeating the boss.

Controls

W, A, S, D to move.
LMB to attack (once you can)
RMB to parry (once you can)
T to access talent tree - and pause
Esc to exit and access the main menu
1, 2, 3 to use activated abilities (once you can) 

Background

The game is made in Unreal engine and primarily with the purpose of training me, the game dev, on how to make games. It "accidentally" turned out to be a great game and several play-testeres have jumped the chair because of the intensity of the game.
The game uses simple and free assets to keep the budget light. 
The game have been build in my spare time over the course of two months.
Oh, and my 6 year old daughter has contributed with some voice acting. If you find these, consider them Easter eggs :)

Known bugs

Fall through the floor (slight risk)
There is a slight risk that you fall through the floor after destroying a tower, due to stepping in the tumbling debree. To fix it, simply hit "New game" or "Start at Boss". Unfortunately I have yet to figure how the character collision can ignore these debrees.

Boss reset
Sometimes, if dying in a critical timestep, the reset of the boss after death will cause the boss to teleport to the fitting location after a few seconds. It will have little to no impact on the game performance.

Parry Jam (miniskule risk)
Once it has been seen that the ability to block was disabled after a death. To fix it, simply hit "Start at Boss". 
It has only ever happened once, and I have not been able to recreate it, so my best guess is that there is a tiny critical time window, where if the player dies in, the parry will jam.
